China Shipbuilding Equipment and Materials Corporation(CSEMC as the English acronym), being a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Shipbuilding Idustry Corporation(CSIC), with registered capital totaling 300 million yuan, is the largest and most important main channel for material supply in the shipbuilding industry.
Headquartered in Beijng, CSEMC has set up holding companies in Shenyang, Wuhan, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Chongqing, Kunming, Tianjin, Dalian, Wuxi, Yangzhou, Anshan, Tangshan, Yingkou, Hong Kong and other places, with marketing networks covering all over the country. Since 2005, CSEMC has advanced by leaps and bounds, its sales income and profit keep increasing and refreshing records, achieving a increase of sales income from 6. 2 billion in 2004, to 36. 8 billion in 2010, to 40 billion in 2011. CSEMC has got the special prize of“legal representative of member company of CSIC” five years in succession, graded as “grade A ratepaying credit company” by taxation of state of Beijing and regional taxation of Beijing four years in succession. In the statistical analysis by China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing at the end of 2010, among 50 strongest national logistics enterprises, benefit of CSEMC took the fourth postion, and was the best in the military enterprises of COSTIND(Commission on Science, Technology, and Industry fo).
Faceing with the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan”, CSEMC has specific aims and measures. In respect of aims, it is put forward to attain an annual growth of at least 15 percent in major economic indicators such as sales income and total profit, and at least 10 percent in the actual value. It is planned, by 2015, main businesses sales income should reach 70 billion, and total profit 500 million, the major economic indicators should be at least double that of 2010. By generally raising its level of management and service, markedly enhancing its core competitiveness, CSEMC would be developed to become a domestically leading, world-renowned, modernize, large-scale logistics enterprise group.
